Bet Today Sportbet Review

Sportbet is another online sportsbook/casino that is part of the 5 Dimes family and it looks as though much of the content was simply copied from either 5 Dimes or Island Casino, the other two sportsbooks/casinos that we have looked at. From a website standpoint, it's hard to argue with Sportbet, which may be the best looking of the three.

As with 5 Dimes or Island Casino, there are plenty of betting options available, so fans of every sport will be able to find something that interests them. Island Casino also has a number of prop bets available. AS an example, in the NBA playoffs, you can wager on which team is leading after the first three, six or nine minutes, or which team will hit 20 points first or 30 points first. While those may not be serious bets, they can be fun and it's nice to have the ability to place a wager on those if you so desire. You also have several alternate lines to choose from, including several that are pretty close to the spread. If the Warriors are -4.5 at Memphis, you can take Memphis +3.5 and receive +109 instead of laying -110 or take the Grizzlies +4 at even money. The alternate lines will cause you to put on your thinking caps a little bit more, but with some work, you can reduce the winning percentage needed to break even or show a profit.

Bonus Program

Again, the bonus program structure is similar to the other two sportsbooks, and players can choose the same types of bonus programs. You do have to specify which one you want. Our personal preference is the reduced juice offering, although a case can be made for the 30% Super Saver Bonus, which allows you to lay -107 on all of the major sports, as well as receive higher parlay payouts.

Recreational Players Welcome

The bonus program section of the website looks as though it was copied word-for word from Island Casino, including the "Bonus-hunters are not welcome at Sportbet.com Sportsbook and Casino," which again, is an indication that they would prefer the regular, casual type of bettor who is more interested in having fun than necessarily winning money, although you could probably say that about every online sportsbook around. Their betting limit is the same $5,000 as 5 Dimes/Island Casino for major sports and they state that lesser sports are likely to have smaller limits.

Summary

With Sportbet you know you're essentially getting 5 Dimes with a different look, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's a top-notch family of sportsbooks and an excellent choice for nearly every sports bettor. The reduced juice bonus is one reason why 5 Dimes, and their associated sportsbooks, are occasionally referred to as the U.S. version of Pinnacle. Once again, I'd visit the three sites and see if there's something about one that particularly catches your eye due to the policy that you can only have one account number at the 5 Dimes Family of sportsbooks/casinos, which also includes View Bet, Chinese Bookie and several others. Sportbet is a good looking site and part of a top-notch chain.
